305/70R16 A/T Tires On a Stock 2012 Xterra 16"x7" Rim Yay or Nay??

I plan on ordering some new A/T tires for the 2012 Xterra. I'm currently running the stock rims and do not plan on buying new rims any time soon. But with that said, I would like to go with a bigger wider tire if possible.
I am running a 3" spacer and shackle lift. so I believe the 305/70R16 is the biggest I can go with on my current set up without cutting or trimming. Is this something that's doable or stick with stock tire size?

There's a little bit of "clearancing" involved to fit 285/75 16's on these trucks, pretty much guaranteed it would take some work to fit 305's without rubbing.

Yeah I have a 3" lift so ill only have to do the heat mod to the wheel well in some spots.
