33" tires rubbing - Gen 2.5 montero

I have gen 2.5 montero, just installed a new KYB (OEM Spec) shocks in the front and also put 33" all around. The front wheels are rubbing the OEM mud flaps on turns. I understand removing mud flaps will solve the problem. But what to know if any of you with 33" have had similar problems? I read somewhere here previously that 33" fits easily without any lift.

I bought new suspensions because i thought the old ones were sagging and that's why the wheels were rubbing, but the new ones made it a lil better but still rubs a little.

Any suggestion and tips?

Also I tried to take out the mud flaps and foot rails..... but the foot rails screws aren't coming off. The top of the screw doesn't have any groove to hold it still while I'm turning turning the bolt under, so it just spins .

Thanks

Take a look at your body mounts. If the rubber has deteriorated, the body may be sagging lower than it should which could contribute to your clearance problem.

Look at setting your ride height. Most likely your front torsion bars have sagged over the years - normal. You can either do it yourself or take it to a REAL alignment shop. (not like a Walmart or even Goodyear in some instances these places on 4X4s alignment = set toe - PMO) and ya got to tell them to set my ride height level.

Front & rear wheel well heights even as measured from the pavement.

edited to add photos:

This is my '88 - but measurement method is the same idea

New shocks are not "new suspensions" and have nothing to do with your ride height, they simply dampen the cycling of the suspension components and weight of the vehicle when going over bumps. The tire width and wheel offset would be very helpful info to provide.

I have 33/12.5/15 on stock rims and it was rubbing on full lock and compressed, other than that it was good.
