I am being forced to a new carrier and have a used-thrice Sierra Wireless AirCard 595 PCMCIA EVDO RevA card, protective plastic still on.
I prefer PCMCIA cards as they are more stable in the vehicle I've found vs. USB dongles. Also, this has attachments for external antennas that was very important for me to get coverage when I was with laptop literally on the road last summer.
