4.0 Supercharger Boost Gauge

I posted this same question in my thread and didn't get much response so here goes for my answers.

A question for all of you. I'm wanting to put a boost and oil pressure gauge in my truck. I've got the A pillar gauge pod from lotek.

The oil pressure I can figure out where to hook up, but the Boost gauge I'm stuck on where it should hook up.

Ideas?

Any port into the intake plenum should do the trick. Possibly 'T' into a 'vacuum' hose. That is how mine was done on the 22RET.

Do the instructions for the sc install have any decent pics of the parts? If so, post them on up so we can take a look. Might be able to tell... You might have to end up drilling and tapping a nipple, preferably in aluminum or metal. They should have expected people to install gauges, I'm really suprised they didnt make it obvious how to do so, hopefully they at least make it possible without too much work or risk.

I don't know what TRD's Customer Service is like, but maybe they can reccomend a spot.

I just left a message with the service manager where I had it installed and hopefully I will get some new from him.

not allot right now stock is 6psi max.

that's still 6psi more than you'd ever get on a stock engine & you could always get a smaller diameter S/C pulley to spin it faster.

if the circled bits in the picture below are boost/vacuum ports (looks like they would be), you should just be able to T in to one of these

If anybody is thinking about getting the Lotek gauge pod for the 05 Tacoma.

DON'T BOTHER!!

It's a pile of $%^&, Gauges don't fit properly and there tolerances are way too tight for the gauges. I've tried a couple other styles other than the ES series and same thing. Can't get them straight in the pod because of tolerances.

Very Poor Product!
