Hey everyone,

I just had a few questions about my 4 runner.

I was looking into getting some new tires and as well as a lift.

i need a laptop too, so i was looking at the daystar 2.5 lift that's around $160 bucks. my question is if I was to add this lift would it throw anything else out of wack?

Also, what is XREAS?

XREAS is a cross linked shock system that comes on some of the Gen4 4Runners. If you want to retain the XREAS system then you can only lift by adding spacers to the existing suspension. There are no aftermarket XREAS shocks on the market.

I removed my XREAS system because of the limitations and installed OME springs and shocks. If you can afford it, I highly recomend the OME lift. No other mods have to be made if your just lifting a 4gen 4Runner a few inches.

I would not recommend the daystar spacer lift. Do it right the first time. If you're wanting a 2-2.5" lift, I'd go with OME. Cheapest prices I've found is on rocky-road.com and trdparts4u.com On my 2002 4Runner, I was quoted $630 shipped (from trdparts4u--they will price match). Here is the Rocky Road website, just for FYI.
