5 gallon water exchange jugs in Central America

We are busy planning our water storage for our trip next summer. I know getting these water jugs full of purified water is easy in the parts of Mexico we have been to:

We just exchange it for a full one at the store. Does anyone know if these are easy to get further south?

...Nicaragua...There are water venders in the street in large cities who sell convenient bagged water that is safe (be cautious to cleanliness of the exterior) as well you find safe and inexpensive water in larger bags or bottles in pulperias and supermercados....

...don't drink any municipal water south of the Rio Grande, too risky, drink only bottled/bagged water (5 gal can be purchased at major grocery stores)...

...Filtered/reverse osmosis/etc water (clean/safe) is available in 20l water cooler bottles in every town and some pulperias in Nicaragua...

Wal-Mart type stores typically sell gallon the 20L jugs of water in the states and I would think this would be useful other places like Central America so I bet they do it there too.
