Does anyone have any experience with these tires? I found a few good sources to get them unused. I like 34inchs tall and narrow. I am putting these on my 1977 for highboy, 4bt project.

Compared to any good radial MT, they are horrendous tires. XZLs a highly coveted in the LR Defender community but they are for show only, as they are NATO and MOD spec. I bought a set of wolf wheels (mil spec) for my LR Series 2A and XZL came with so I tried them out. Yes, super rugged, like bias/ply, but handle like crap on the road, low traction on wet roads, zero traction on snow and do not air down well. Side walls too stiff to much increase in foot print. I low ranged wheeled with them a few times in new england they had zero traction on any moist soil. Happy to see them go and went with Interco Trxus in 235/85 and life got much better off road.
