Purchased this over the holidays (Dec 2012) from Expo member Suntinez. It's a 2007 model in decent condition, but just isnt going to work out for the type of driving I do. Super cool product for EXPO stuff though!

Since buying it, I've upgraded the interior lighting to LED wafers, and purchased a green SLO rain fly that will be included for the asking price. Comes with some new longer strut bars I made for my dodge, as well as some hacked up hinge pins. You'll probably want to buy new ones in the correct style for your vehicle from FRP or AT. Also have plenty of spare BIMMO awning hardware to mess around with strut bar mounting.

Asking SOLD. Flippac is located in Sonoma County, north of San Francisco. It's currently in storage and ready to bolt on! Come get it, or PM me to arrange shipping/delivery options.

Not to hijack your FS thread, but newer Dodges must be far more rigid than my 1998 was. I'm told the FP can develop cracks along the front bulkhead if they are used on bendy off-road trucks. Mine made a lot of ugly noises going through some cross-axle articulation. Look at the body line. Common on older trucks, I know. But yours shows hardly any deflection at all.

You're absolutely correct. The 1st and 2nd generation ram indeed had open C-channel frames, and were significantly more flexible than the 3rd and current 4th generation rams, with their fully boxed and hydroformed frames. The added stifness indeed makes a better platform for expo work, and for load and cargo carrying, however the softer flexier frames had their merits as well...

IMO 2nd gens' frames worked as a component of the suspension. If you could compensate for that, it could work for your benefit. When you start to drive the newer trucks quicker, the rigidity and closer tolerances lead to more broken parts and dents from boxes hitting cabs because there's no give. Either way... no flippac is ever going to keep up with the DTX boys... :jumping:

Bump. No serious interest as of this point.

My storage contract is up, so I'm reinstalling the flippac onto the truck. This makes delivery possible, please contact me if interested.

Bump. This thing makes a great base camp out of a capable expo rig!

Are you still in No Cal?

Am interested in shell.

Are you still in No Cal?

Are you coming to Expo in Az this month?

I am in So Az, and could meet you there to swap in on to my truck.....

But......big Q....how high is top of topper from truck bed sides?

I have to keep my rig parked in garage cause of HOA rules.....

Hi,

Shell is still here in NorCal in storage. Not headed to the expo this month, unfortunately. :(

As for measurement, I'll have to get back to you on that. If you can extrapolate from the photos, my bed rail to roof dimension is 22".

Thanks for your interest!

Bed rail to top of the flippac is 33". Add roughly 1" for the prop rods and pivots, unless youdo something different to hold it open.

Thanks for the measurements. I am VERY interested in buying this from you, but I will need to double check this for the total height on my truck, to make sure it would fit in my caport.

I have only an 84" opening to the carport and live in a neighborhood where the homeowners' rules require me to keep my truck parked under my caport roof. This topper will either just barely fit or just barely be too big. I will let you know this weekend.
