96-02 4Runner: What Tundra Parts Swap?

I've got a 1999 4Runner SR5 4WD

I've been thinking about doing the front disc brake swap from the Tundra parts.

But what other Tundra parts swap into the 4Runner?

There are a couple quick mentions of Tundra Coils swapping to the 4Runner, but the Tundra has leaf springs in the rear, so is this related to the fron Coil-Overs?

Any other bright ideas?

Right, the Tundra suspension is the front coil/shocks only. Very happy with mine. I have LC rear springs/shocks. www.sonoransteel.com

I had all the parts to do the Tundra brake swap. Then I realized I wasn't really going to fix anything that wasn't broken - since I already had Brembo rotors. The whole idea of going to Tundra parts was spawned because the stock 4runner rotors are prone to warping. Badly. A few years ago mine suffered severe warpage, so I upgraded to Brembo rotors and some new oem pads. That was 60k miles ago and I haven't had any sign of warpage in the least, and I regularly tow in excess of 2000lbs without trailer brakes.

The one advantage the Tundra setup has is thicker rotors and larger calipers which would shed heat better than the stockers on say, for example, a long downhill. But I haven't had any issues since my upgrade. YMMV.

Do you still have those parts for the brakes? Are they new or used? The tundra pads have more surface area on them to meet with the rotor.

I just ordered the rotors.

I'll probably pick up a set of calipers from a part yard.
