98 75-series troopy windshield needed

Argh, truck kicked up a rock and got a small chip. One cold night and then one hot day and the chip was a crack, right in front of the driver. Now I need a new windshield. (I like keeping things legal for border crossings.)

Anyone know of a source in the US or Canada?
Anyone know the Toyota OEM part number?
Can anyone tell me what US-available windshields will fit?

Thanks in advance,
Chris.

I know a guy who is wrecking/parting out a BJ70 in Victoria BC. Just a quick trip on the Clipper from Port Angeles and you could have one for cheap I bet. I will try to find out if they are the same windshield for you... Stay tuned!

I didn't check but I doubt they are good numbers in the US parts system. There is a thread on mud about 7x Series windshields but I've not followed it in quite some time. Worth a check.

Well, I guess it can't all be easy. He broke the front glass while removing other parts. Any Vancouver BC dealer should be able to get it for you. Otherwise, there are a few JDM parts guys local here I could try for you. If you are willing to cross-border shop... Let me know.

These two part numbers are good in the US Toyota system but I'm not 100% sure those are the correct part numbers. Give Onur or Dan at American Toyota a call.

Great reference site for parts

This has probably been posted somewhere already but this site has great value for finding part numbers and general breakdown and rough schematics for cruisers and other Tojos.

Thanks for that. I am aware of ToyoDIY, but they don't have it. They tend to have more "hard" parts, such as engine and drivetrain, than body parts like windshields and door parts (I spent a lot of time looking for some rear door parts which are not listed).

Also, for the record, I confirmed that the partis #56111-60220 and it is available in US and in the Canada, but the US price is $600 and the Canadian prive is $468 + tax + shipping. Ouch.

At that price, I will hold off until the crack is blatantly illegal. I checked both WA state and BC provincial regulations and the crack is legal in both. So as long as it doesn't crack further, it is only a problem if a cop is looking for a bribe or having a really really bad day.

Take a road trip north and have it done in Vancouver....just a thought. There are a lot of beautiful places in the area for an excuse.
