A couple of questions

I currently have a 1999.5 Pathfinder 4x4 that is stock. I do some mild off roading from time to time, ie camping, fishing etc. I would like a lift but dont want to spend alot of money on something that I dont need. What would be the easiest/cheapest/safest way to lift the pathfinder?
Next I currently have Dueler APT's 255/70/16 that have been pretty good since most of my driving is on pavement. The bad part about that size tire is that the choices are so limited. If I switch to 245/75/16 the tire choices really open up. So the question is what tire would be good choice? Also any pics with the 245's would be great.

There's really only one way to lift the R50 Pathfinders, and that's to change the springs. There's two options available in the U.S. There's the Old Man Emu (OME) lift, which provides 1.75-2" of lift, and an excellent ride quality, and there's the AC/4x4parts.com lift, which will give between 2-3" of lift, and a slightly harsher ride quality.

In terms of tires, a good all-around tire would be the BFG All-Terrain TA KO. Great balance between on-road handling and comfort, and off-road performance. I've been using them for about 140,000 miles now, and really like them.
