1200 GS bikes for a day on a variety of off-road obstacles.

Makes me want to go. Maybe while training at Xe I could run down there real quick for that 2-day course. That would be awesome. :victory:

I did the Hechlingen 2 day class back in 2000. Wanted to drop their 500 lb. dirt bike for a few days getting the hang of things before I took my GS RTW.

It was cheap, something like $500 which included the 2 days use of the GS, classroom training a certificate and t shirt. My instructor was Richard Schalber, world famous rider. He could make that big GS do some amazing things. The course is in an old gravel pit on a military reservation and they had some great obstacles set up including some pretty big hills and water crossings. first day was getting used to the bike and I was worn out by the end, dropped the bike 6 times the first day.

The Gasthaus I stayed in was great, cheap, awesome food and a good gathering place to recover for the second day which took us onto the military reserve for some trail riding and some pavement exercises both with and without the ABS activated.

I learned a lot and was more comfortable on my pig when in some nasty places to be on such a big bike.
