The folks at Toyota Gibraltar Stockholdings, Ltd, who supply Toyota vehicles to aid and humanitarian agencies, have a truly interesting website showing all the vehicles we love to dream about and modifications to adapt them to rough service in developing countries.

They have a video posted these days about the things that happen to a Land Cruiser as it moves through their organization. Great up close details and well worth a look for a LC fan.

Aid and humanitarian agencies surely would have left those vehicle white in color? I am guessing they are being used for another purpose.

Two questions come to mind:

Who brokered and then re-fitted the desert tan pickup trucks some of Saddam's troops used?
Why would a financially-strapped relief agency go to the unnecessary expense of repainting an already white vehicle to a tan or any other color, especially the UN agencies?
