A Few Questions (2014 frontier)

I recently bought a 2014 frontier and am trying to figure out if a cap from a 2012 will work. It seems that I might need to swap rear spoilers but it should be OK?

Do these have locking hubs or do they spin the front differential constantly and only dissconect at the transfer case?

Lastly where is the differential breather tube? I found a small nipple with a cap but no tube.

And lastly what was changed if anything to stop he dreaded milkshake problem on the automatics of earlier years?

If by cap you mean canopy, then yes it should work. These trucks have not significantly changed since 2005.

I removed my rear spoiler to install the canopy (leer 100r). I replaced it with some kind of rounded over plastic thing from Westin that works like the older trucks. I think spoilers came out in 2013.

They have auto locking hubs. I think they are vacuum activated.

There is no diff breather tube. Its a stupid hole with a nipple/spring thing that needs replaced with a proper breather. If you don't, and you ford creeks, you will ruin your rear end. There are lots of examples on club frontier... I suggest you join there.

Milkshakes are a thing of the past. Not sure when exactly they fixed it, but it was before our years.

Yes a camper shell type cap.

Vacuume hubs, that must be why they lock when the truck is off because they use vacuume to stay open.

I will put on a diff breather and be done with it.

Thanks for the help.

I'll still probably bypass it down the road to never worry about it. Seems most combined coolers like that fail at some point.
