A frame extension??

I’ve got a v nose trailer build and wanting to extend the tongue some. Some where I seen a company that made a few late system to make it easier and possible have a receiver style that slides into trailer tongue. Anyone know who that was that made those?

Yours looks longer than mine, I have the same issue. I've seen an extension that bolted under the existing frame, doubt that's a good idea as it will raise the front, lower the back while towing, I wouldn't trust bolts with clamps either.

Best to go inside or outside the existing frame with box and weld up a longer tongue, that's what I'm getting done. Mine is a 14' and hauls my trike so I don't want to lose it.

My welder guy took off for a job out of state, he should be back this fall. So, no progress.

The modification I referred to was for a 14' single axel toy hauler.

Sorry, I haven't figured out how to load my Kodachrome pictures into this computer.

Looks like you can cut the coupler off, far enough back to give you room to run a 3" box tube between the frames you cut off. Further back next to the V nose run box tubing across welded to each frame, making a "T" weld all 4 pieces and weld/bolt the coupler on.

Thank you. Perfect idea. I’ll see who I can get to do it and seems that would be easiest way.
