I've never really been out that way, but there was an awesome trip report on here up the North Woods of Maine. There's a downed bomber and preserved steam locomotives out in the boonies. Not sure about structured campsites, but definitely something I'd want to look into, were I headed that direction.

We spend alot of time up in the Maine woods and there is alot of camping off the beaten path. The only stipulation is campfires as they can only be in designated fire pits. As far as camping if u can find a place to park your rig u r good to go. There are several thousand miles to wheel/explore up here. If u have any questions feel free to ask.

Hey no problem. We will actually be available to join ya for a bit if ya want. There are also a couple off road parks w camping up here. I live 20 mins from one and its 10.00 to camp and wheel. We also can guide u up north where we go.

Ya that's sounds awesome I can't wait the get going it's been 6 month's of working my a@@. Off and I can wait for the pay off

If your really looking to be off the beaten path swap out the ball hitch for a pointless hook setup. That'll make it a lot better suited for the trails. Good luck and have a great time.

Ive seen a couple of the folks in nhere use multiple couplers, one for over the road, a standard style hitch, and one for the trail, a pintle like u plann to use. im in the process of build a trailer modeled after several i've seen in the build section, and thats what im gonna do...at least til I can afford to get a lock n roll...:smiley_drive:
