Accessory Drive Noise after water crossings?

After doing some very deep water crossings, I've picked up a loud noise from the front of the engine. I'm assuming it's something on the accessory drive. I can't pinpoint it while looking down as the engine running. Too much going on. How can I find the offended part, probably a bearing?

Anybody have experience on a D2 one which part it may be?

Is this happening while in or out of the water?

I'd look at your fan clutch, or your ac pump, two things that might not be in use heavily in the winter that could have water built up in.

Just an idea.

It's happening out of the water. It's 100% of the time, ever since I did the water crossing in August. I've been procrastinating fixing it. Actually, I expected it to get worse, but it has just held steady.

I tried using the hose as a stethescope, old trick that works ok, but I can't find it that way. Hard to get the hose down to the lower components with the fan swinging around.

You could try spraying each pulley bearing/bushing with WD-40, one at a time, to isolate. A light shot should be all that it will take. Fire up the engine between each one and see if the noise goes away.
