Nice web, we just came across. ( a bit late)

for everybody who start, prepare or just thinking about nice, great overland trip from Europe down south... Somewhere in Southern Africa and Cape Agulhas ;o)

Was amazing trip, or better trips, because we left Europe in 2008 came back in 2009, needed to earn some money and then in April 2010 we went down in Southern Africa for another 4 months... our car is still there waiting for us coming back in April this year.

Ask me if I miss Africa. In my opinion it's the best destination for overlanding, although I still need to explore the Silk Road.

Can't wait to go back.

Welcome Andrea and Rene! Your web site says you are leaving on a third trip, starting in April. What route do you plan to travel this time? Will you drive your Nissan Patrol again?

Hi,

this time we´re gonna do a "small circle" only, our Nissan is still in South Africa, after our first trip he never came home with us but stayed patiently behind to wait for our return. We left him with friends and this is a huge advantage for us...whenever we feel like going bush we just need to buy the flight tickets, not more preparations, just fly down, grab the car and off into the bush.

So this year we will definitely do some diving in Sodwana Bay and if we manage Tofo as well...:snorkel: we would like to go to Botswana again, spend more time in the Central Kalahari, then from there to Zimbabwe, visit our friends, be there for the big 4x4 Jamboree end of May in Harare (youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0c1_YEn8Ds ) and then through the Eastern side up to Malawi and North Mozambique (Malawi is optional, we would rather spend more time in North Moz) and back down to SA. :smiley_drive:

Still thinking about the Sudan though...but that will be more or less just flying there.
