Adding Cruise Control??

Is it possible to add a steering wheel with cruise control to an E350 that did not originally come with it? Or do I have to try and find an aftermarket kit?

Find a steering wheel with the controls, a new clock spring, a quick visit to the ford dealer to have the computer recognize the add of the cruise control and your set!

I didn't need the dealership for anything when I added cruise control to my current van, despite them telling me that it won't work without them costing me $.
Steering wheel, clockspring and brake switch was all I needed to make it work.

Thank you guys, I was hoping that I could get away without having to add on another column tree. I will start looking for the parts I need :smiley_drive:

What kind of details would anyone need/want?
It's a simple plug n play for the most part...

Just the basics would be cool.
Where'd he source the parts and how much.
How hard was the install.
Any tips he learns along the way.

I am hoping that I can buy a whole new steering wheel that has the cruise and stereo controls, if not just cruise is fine. Does anyone know how to cross reference which F-250/350 parts might also work? I'd like to go the salvage yard if possible, not sure if they sell steering wheels and if so do they have the airbags or would I need to transfer the one that is in there?? So much to learn!!!

From my understanding is that the F-series parts will not work.
All the parts can be had from pull a part junk yards.

All but the brake safety switch is plug n play... and that's just two wires to splice under the hood.

No need for any serious tools... yank/ rock the steering wheel off.
Should take you less than an hour. Rated at 2 of 10 for ease (my scale).

I was fortunate to find a person selling a new cruise control kit from Ford the only part I had to buy was the clockspring. It was $14 used.
Transfer your nice airbag, no need to buy that.

This is great to know in case I buy another van down the road. I insisted on finding one with cruise control, power windows and locks, and air conditioning because I didn't want to retrofit it all. (I also needed tall rear doors, which significantly limited my search.)
