Adventure Cycyling Association

Proceeding on...
Got the new issue of Adventure Cyclist from Adventure Cycling Association yesterday. Great article on the type of trip this forum is all about; a 9-day drip up the Canol Road (Canol Heritage Trail) in the Northwest Territory by mountain bike and pack raft. Good photography, too. Very similar to the Expedition Overland team's motorized experience on the Alexander MacKenzie Heritage Trail in British Columbia.

If you are not familiar with the ACA and their very excellent magazine, find more information at http://www.adventurecycling.org/. I've been a member for 15 years. The magazine is excellent, the maps are superb.

Ride safe,
Hans

I enjoyed the article also! We just recently biked an OBX loop (offered as a guided tour through ACA) utilizing their maps. Great issue this month for sure

I did the OBX loop by myself 11 years ago sleeping on the beach during the off season. I'm from NH so I figured this would be a piece of cake with no hills...I forgot about the constant head winds! It really was a beautiful trip though, and the maps were spot on, I didn't have a smart phone or GPS at the time and all I used were the maps and it's really all I needed.
