Hello All,
I have a late 60's model non-cab over Alaskan, that I am in the process of repairing / updating / rebuilding. I plan on replacing the floor and I can see there is lot of valuable info here posted by people who have done it themselves.
The problem I have right now it the heater needs a new thermocouple, at least that is what I think it needs. The problem is the bottom of the heater is rusted so I am unable to simply remove it and replace it. I thought it would be easier to work on it, on my work bench, but I can not seem to get it out..
The problem is I can not get the vent to heater connection to come apart. There was on screw on the top.. I removed that. But I still can not get them to come apart. Has any one done this? Is there something else I need to do? Do i just need to pull harder?
