It has some serious rot problems. looking at the water marks around the door, I would guess that the whole back wall is rotten. I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to buy a project.

Thanks for the honest opinions...I was so exited to see one locally for sale that I could purchase without a loan. I have been searching for an older 8' non-cabover Alaskan for over a year and this is the only one that has come up that I wouldn't have to drive to the west coast to pick up.

My friend and I just picked up a 10' Alaskan in rough shape (not quite as rotted out as the one pictured) for $300. You can find them for cheap like we did but in most cases you will spend more time/money making it nice vs. just buying a nice one to begin with... I'm trying to get him to join and post pics as he is going to go through it and repair/replace all the rot.
