For those of you in range of Prescott, mark your calendars for March, 24th. It's time again for the annual Ales for Trails night at the Raven Cafe. This is our big kick off for the mountain bike season and this year's event will be off the charts. We've got live music, silent auctions, and this year's presenter is Horizon Air. They'll be giving away two round trip tickets to lucky raffle winners. Beer specials are provided by our two-wheeled amigos at New Belgium. Even Overland Journal has hopped on board to promote the fine riding in Prescott. Come sit at the bar in the Whiskey Off Road HOT SEAT next to our very own Alpinehooha and he'll get you signed up for the Whiskey Off Road at a special Ales for Trails night discount thanks to Epic Rides.

It's going to be a hoot!

Thanks for the link. After perusing through the site, I'm almost convinced Prescott is my kind of place. I really need to visit...soon!

UPDATE:

As of this week, Thule rack systems has jumped on board the festivities by offering a $300 gift certificate to be raffled off at the event.

So, with that the booty to be won is getting serious:

Grand Prize: 2 free round trip tickets from Horizon Air ($1200)
First Prize: $300 Thule gift cert
Second Prize: $119 Osprey Raptor hydration pack.

This in venue that only holds 200-250 people. Those are good odds.

Should be a great time.

Update: New Belgium Brewing company just donated a sweet "Fat Tire" cruiser to the party. Daryl with Form Cycles will be in the house to show off his unbelievable machines. Scott and I stopped by his shop to check them out and wow. Amazing.

...and.....the mayor of Prescott asked if he could swing by and say a few words to our crowd of mountain bike riders. Going to be sweet.

Come by. It'll be a hoot.

That was awesome

Prescott, Arizona continues to impress me. Our Ales for Trails night was a massive, hulking, huge success. We had over 300 riders and fans of mountain bikes fill the Raven Cafe from wall to wall. For the second time in Raven Cafe history they had to bar the door and a 30+ person line filed down the block.

All of these locals were anxious to celebrate another year of mountain biking in Prescott. http://ravensingletrack.com/Ales_for_Trails.html

Of course, the Overland Journal gang showed up to show their support. Alpinehooha was key to the night as the volunteer on hand to sign up riders for our local race, the Whiskey Off Road. Edgear was there as was Scott and his lovely wife, Stephanie. It was super. Two lucky winners left the night with OJ subscriptions compliments of Scott. Thank you, amigo.

If you get a chance to bring your bike to Prescott, you won't be disappointed. It's an amazing community.
