Alu Cab Awning on Patriot X1 or X2?

Curious if anyone has put an Alu Cab Shadow Awning on a Patriot X1 (or X2)? Would love to hear about how they mounted it to the existing awning struts, etc.

I have an Allu shadow on my truck and have only seen the mounts for the X1. I doubt you could mount the shadow as once deployed all of the weight of the awning ends up in the rear mount. I’ve seen the shadow bend even a less stout roof rack, let alone struts.

I think I’ve seen someone do a foxwing, as the legs help balance it.

That said, I really love how patriot does those pop up struts. I’d like to do those on my Chaser.
