Aluminess needs a Syncro!

Hello everyone,

We have a good customer that is looking for us to build him some front and rear bumpers for his VW Syncro. The problem is that he doesn't live close enough for us to design the bumpers off of his vehicle. This is where the fine folks of Expedition Portal come in.

If anyone is located near San Diego (Santee to be exact) and would be willing to let us use your Syncro to design some bumpers we would really appreciate the help. It typically takes 2 visits to our shop to get the bumpers designed and ready for production. The first visit is for measuring and design, the second visit is for test fitting the first article.

been a couple recent bumper discussions over on thesamba lately--with lots of opinions of what people are looking for in a bumper, good research/reading for you.

i was in the syncro world for 12 years/5 different syncros. i just recently made the switch from syncro to 7.3psd 4x4 e350 and just mounted a set of aluminess bumpers, top notch product (i was highly impressed) i think alot of syncro people would like to see, even if they are more "frugal" with the $.

Just to update everyone, we are still on the hunt for a Vanagon. We have had a few interested parties, but none can find the time to make it into our shop to start the engineering process. If anyone knows anybody in San Diego with a Vanagon that would be willing to help please have them contact us.

Thanks for helping us out with that post. We did find a couple of people from The Samba that are willing to come in and help us out. We are working with them to schedule the initial measurement and design of the bumper. I will keep you all updated as things progress
