Aluminum Shell Roof Rack Question

Hey guys, new here and thought I would get your advice.

I have a aluminum shell on the back of my S10 and I am looking to add a roof rack system to it. I have been looking at the thread put up by "fourfa" here :

http://www.expeditionportal.com/for...d-easy-mounting-option-for-roof-rack-on-shell

but obviously that is for a fiberglass setup. I wanted to see if anyone had a good solution for installing a roof rack system on my setup given the unique structure. I was thinking that the easiest way would be to modify a setup to work with U-brackets on the existing aluminum framework on the inside. I have attached pictures.

Thanks for any help!

I like that shell...I have an aluminum one for a truck bed trailer I'm putting together. Mine is similar minus the roof extension. The shells like these I've seen have the rack mounts on the side corners. They consist of square tubing bolted through the shell skin to the inner framing. The corners being the strongest point. You may have seen them on commercial versions. I'm going to add bar tubing to one side so I can mount an ARB awning.
