Aluminum TLC Bodies being born! Pics!

So I haven't been on the TLC pages here on Expo much lately as I have been working on a 12 valve Cummins truck. I found myself waiting for doors and windows at one of my projects last week, and while picking up some aluminum for my Airstream renovation I was talking to Todd, the owner of Aqualu Industries and Hardbodies. He is an old friend and said he couldn't find any good help he could trust to do the finishing grind and polish on some bodies destined for TLC for their Icon trucks. (I asked Todd if he could fab a FJ40 tub about 20 years ago and ended up with the third body he ever made). Sounded like fun! So, long story shorter, I spent a week working for him helping to make some rich guys enjoy their new Icon cruisers... Pics below...

More pics of the project toys... The one on 46" tires is Todds "Snowcruiser" that was in Petersens 4wheel&offroad. Check out the air suspension he designed and built in the shot from behind! All controlled by a joystick in cab... Not to mention the supercharged bigblock Caddy motor! And, my personal favorite is his new project FJ45. 502 crate motor under the hood... Nice in cab storage in the 45. If you want to talk to Todd about bodies or custom work, call him at (250) 765 6714.

We are an Aqualu dealer and install their products. We recently finished an aluminum FJ45 that went to South Africa & the truck turned out beautiful. I can post up pics if anyone's interested.

Very nice. aluminum bodies are cool and provide a good alternative to a steel body.. lighter weight,no rust and can made just as strong to withstand abuse!:victory:

I sold their tubs for years and had very few complaints. We were the company to get him to start doing Jeep tubs...we shipped over old ones for him to use for measurements.

Great product!

Everything but the top, hood doors and bezel is Aqualu Aluminum. Sorry for the delay in posting the pics... We sell Aqualu below their direct pricing, so contact us if we can help anyone out on their parts!
