Kinds cool since that's what I use my tailgate for as well. But the metal lid blocks access to everything just behind the tailgate where I keep my food bins, water jugs and camp kitchen. I think I like the tailgate as just a flat counter more than having little sunken bins.

Even just making the "lid" removable would solve a lot of issues (and probably drop the costs). Replace those hinges with a pair of latches...

I remember a thread somewhere here on this site that had a bunch of tailgate/swing out door tables people had made, and I can't find it now. Does anyone have a link to it?
