I couldn't get the Victron app to work on the android based touch screen I installed in my truck. Despite it having bluetooth, it appears to not work for everything.. maybe just audio streaming.
Not really a drag though, I have a raspberry pi in my diy lithium aux battery box and router which is reading all the data over the VE.Direct port and also reading data from a Chinese smart BMS to give me cell balance info.
So I made a quick android app this morning to poll the raspberry pi every 3 seconds. I've made a fancier phone app to do the same, but this one was a little simpler since the truck is always connected to onboard wifi, as is the raspberry pi, so all of this is done over the local network.
I can control most of the system through long-pressing certain fields in the app. Like pressing the cellular info allows me to lock bands on the router. Pressing heat info allows me to set the temperature to maintain inside the battery box with silicone heat pad.
Maybe some fellow nerd will find it interesting.
