I use the older sibling the X-E1 and it's absolutely amazing. Beautiful colours, proper controls, good lenses, no mirror-box so you can adapt just about any brand of lens to the camera (I use quite a bit of Leica M lenses).
I have only minor gripes with it, the odd sensor design means that 100% crops of RAW's processed with Adobe Camera Raw get this swishy painterly effect, however JPG's and images processed in Camera One look fine. Most people don't think it's a problem, or like it. I'm just really picky about that sort of micro-detail (read: an idiot).
The great thing about a Fuji kit, especially for long distance travel is that you don't need to carry a metric tonne of equipment with you. You can pack a baby little pack with your gear in it and keep it up the front of your truck - hell, keep the camera slung around your neck, and have it ready to go the moment you see something. My biggest problem especially with road fatigue is that I get to a rest stop with an amazing view, and then I'm that tired and burnt out I can't be bothered getting the 'big kit' from the truck to shoot with.
Most of my photography on my website linked below for the last year or two were all shot on a fuji so if you want to see what sort of results they produce feel free to have a gander.
