any experience with jeep tents

I had one of their SUV tents for quite awhile. I gave it to my son and he still uses it. Its a $300 tent. Quality is decent, its a straightforward polyester tent so it does not breathe as well as a poly/cotten or the more exotic fabrics.

We've had one for about 10 years and it's a pretty cool tent but I wouldn't say it's worth $300+. We have used it with both of our Cherokee's and it's convenient to hook up and have some extra dry space or sleep the kids in the back. Ours was given to us from a older couple who received it new when they bought their Cherokee new and never used it. In the end it's an average 4 person tent with a sock to connect to an suv. If I were tent shopping I would probably save up a bit more and get something better.

Had one I used on my '98 XJ that I picked up online in 2002. For sure not worth $300+ dollars. I'd say at most it's a $120-130 tent but the novelty I guess is what people go for. I had to seam seal and waterproof it at least twice a season but I was camping 4-5 weeks a summer then. Eventually it sort of started to designate at the stitching and floors seams.
