Pretty sure those are simex trekker "tyres" which aren't sold in North america, I think. The forest looks pretty "jungly" also, so my guess is an asian country like Thailand, Malaysia, or possibly someplace in the South Pacific like Guam.

Agree. The picture is low-res, but I will venture a very good guess that those are Philippine plates (http://www.worldlicenseplates.com/world/AS_PHIL.html - Year 1994~2000).

yes that is indeed a Philippine plate and the trail head looks very familiar i think i have been there before. if i am not mistaken its one of trails in Davao, southern part of PI.

I'm getting ready to build a tube buggy rock crawler now. Not sure if I'll build a Scorpion type or just a simple 2 seater. I'll use a Jeep XJ drivetrain since they are plentiful here in NM.
