Any Suzuki Sierra owners on here?

All, I recently fitted a OEM split rear seat to my '95 Suzuki Samurai. Great seat; taller back, and also has headrests.

But I'm a bit befuddled with how the retractable seat belts with shoulder belt mount. Can anybody shoot me some pictures of how the seatbelt are fitted in their vehicles?

I have an added rear family cage, so I was planning to weld some threaded bosses to the vertical bar in order to mount the retractor and shoulder pivot point, but I want to see how the factory intended first.

Thanks.

Interesting. I added a oem fold and tumble Samurai rear seat to my 94 but, it only had the lap belts. What year Samurai did those seats come from?

Not sure what year Zuk they are from. I bought them from a fella in Japan years ago, back when there was an eBay in Japan. Probably 500 bucks when all said and done, with shipping. But, it's the ultimate solution, and my daughter is a lot bigger than when we first got the Zuk. Mounts right to the original anchor points; even the center two threaded bosses were there after I located and drilled them clear.

For now, I'm still using the single seat belts, but I want to mount the 3 point units. Just not sure how they go. The single seat belts mount to the floor of the Zuk, but in taking measurements of the belt in the new retractor, I'm not sure the new retractor goes there, or if it does, how high up the shoulder mount is. Just want to drill into the rear cage once.

Nice. Don't see too many of the dark blue ones any more!

Man, that's a beauty. The body on mine is in great shape, but the blue paint is pretty thin; it needs a repaint. Trouble is, I'm really not fond of the blue.

LOL....I know what you mean about the blue! Not a fan. But, in the next year or so I hope to do some upgrades/rebuild and paint for a planned multi-week long, back roads/trails/camping run between Colorado and Moab. The Sammy just works. We've had ours about 18 years with most of that time living behind several RV's and exploring all sorts of places. It now just doing run about work in the mountains for my wife. BTW, well done Zuk! love the bumpers. Look forward to your thread!

Do we know each other?

From a few years ago; we don't really tow it much anymore, mainly because we don't use the camper much anymore.

I agree. The Zuk just works for me too. Nimble, simple, cheap, honest, and exceedingly capable.

I have another one with a rusted soft body, and a perfect tintop body sitting in a buddy's barn, waiting to be swapped. About ready to pay someone to do it, since I haven't found the time over the past 10 years to do it myself...
