I'm not a Tundra owner but it was my first choice when I was shopping around for a pickup. I just couldn't afford the price tag even for a used one. But what I test drove is far from a beast compared to the 3/4 Ram that I wound up getting.
I have had my Tundra for over 2 years now...It is the perfect platform for me and my family for now.
I did drive my rig through the Continental divide this past Summer. No doubt, I was the 'biggest girl at the prom'...However, the rig did perfect. My expectations were exceeded in every aspect. I really am enjoying this rig...
when i first brought it home, all the trucks are mine, I also have a 2012 RAV4 not in the picture, my wife drives the WRX, my point being i have options, but chose the full size for off road and traveling.
after one week
currently awaiting the Leer bed cap which is being painted to start building my camp vehicle.... the purpose for buying it was to build a camper in the bed, in order to have a long range base camp for the family. I'm big on subtle but functional.
I was using my trusty Tacoma which I have taken to several places around the world, but Im getting Old and want the comforts of the big rig
FNG, what mods are you considering on your Tundra? I'm keeping mine low key with front level kit, snug top xtra vision shell/yakima rails and Warn variable mount winch. Looking into deep cycle batt system and adventure trailer also. What tires are you running and it looks leveled.
