Anybody know these guys?

My dad is looking into getting a Mombasa style RTT for his fishing trips in Oregon and found this guy posting on Craigs List. He makes and sells a small camping trailer with RTT. Tent looks to be a Mombasa. Anybody familiar with the company? Seems like an interesting setup for basic camping, easy going dirt roads and developed camping.

PS, can anybody tell on the "Tent Units" page, is the all green tent shown on top the previous generation Mombasa?

That guy posts on the Teardrops and Tiny Travel Trailers forum. Its a wood box on a harbor freight trailer with a RTT on it. Not a bad idea, but not a off road trailer more of a camp ground trailer.

Dave, I am that guy. The green expedition style RTT is a Mombasa. Looks like I need to update a few pictures, so I don't cause confusing for folks. The tent for your dad would be a regular production model tan body, green rainfly. Not my all green demo one.

Yes, our focus is "camping" trailers for folks driving small, fuel-efficient vehicles. Just for clarification, for home-builders going the bolt together frame kit route when building an Explorer Box. We recommend folks using a USA made, square tubing frame kit from Magenta Trailers, not a Harbor Freight C-Channel type frame kit. Our ready-to-roll Explorer Box are on a fully weld frame.

Thanks for the info. Is the two tone Mombasa what you have for sale on Craigs List? That ad shows the all green one at a different price from your webpage, so I was guessing you were getting rid of the demo model? Either way, I'm encouraging my dad to stop by and take a look at the tent, I think he'll like the ease of using a RTT for his fishing trips.

I just did a review of the current Mombasa version. To solve one of my issues a thicker material cover will be out very soon. (I have a smal rip developing in mine)
