Anyone know this guy? 02futura

This guy (02futura) put up a post a couple of months ago parting out his 80 series. I ended up buying a driver side mirror through pay-pal back in July and have yet to see anything! I have sent him PM's to no response, the e-mail through pay-pal is no longer valid. USPS shows that he dropped it off, but when I call them they say it is just sitting in Vegas. Should I just be patient or dispute it?

I have dealt with several EXPO members both buying and selling and this is the first hiccup. I saw that a lot of others were wanting/ordering parts as well so I just wondered how it turned out for you.

2 months is an excessive time to wait without an explanation. I would dispute it. You can always cancel the dispute if it showsup, but I would get the ball rolling as it takes a little time to get refunded.

That's the point! I never got it. I was out of town when he said he shipped it, I PM'd him when I got back and never heard from him again. I called USPS and they show it being held in Vegas for some large delivery to come to AZ? I have never heard of this 3rd type party for shipping through USPS.

FWIW I bought the front mud flaps from him, and I received them. IIRC, they did seem to stall in shipping for a while for some reason... But they're on my 80 now.

So USPS says they've got the shipment but it's just sitting there? What's up with that???

You know, I usually catch that and I missed that one. I was so excited to finally find a white power mirror and leaving town at the same time. Lesson learned but still have hope it comes.

What does "just sitting in Vegas" mean? If USPS has it in their possession, then get on them. If he _filed_ for delivery but never actually handed over to USPS, then dispute.

Yeah, I am not quite sure and I have been on USPS. it looks like he dropped it off, where I do not know, but I do have a USPS tracking #. When call my local office they say they can see my package at a third party location that only leaves when there is enough of a bulk shipment. I have never heard of this. If I had a mirror, I would box it, hand it to my USPS guy, pay him and my customer should have it within days. Live and learn I guess.

well, just got off the phone with my local USPS and the news has changed. Where as someone else from the office thought they saw it in Vegas it now appears the seller mearly paid for an inexpensive online postal receipt but never dropped it off! I can only hope this individual has it in him to still send it, I know I waited too long to dispute but I always give people the benefit of the doubt.
