Anyone out there with a 23Zero awning? Or other awning they love?

Hi All,

I am sending back the ARB awning that I just bought. I put it up on my medium roof transit and it became obvious it wasn't going to work for me. I had the aluminum cased model and the side pole couldn't tilt down more then a few degrees without damage resulting to the mount.

Anyway, I am now looking at other awnings. The 23Zero Peregrine looks cool. A little big but it says it can be set by one person. Anybody have one?

Or, any other easy to deploy awning that you love?

I have two westafailas , one with an older shady boy and the other with a fiama. Both are great but I lean towards the fiama because its a bit easier to deploy.
However a few years ago I put together an AWD express van for Baja and just went with old fashioned army style tent poles and sail cloth . Only takes a few more minutes to set up and it did take a while to get a sytem down that worked well but now I am as happy as can be. I keep the sail cloth and a plain white tarp and swap between the two depending on conditions. Sometimes I use the sailcloth directly on beach sand as a carpet with the tarp overhead.
I dont think I will ever buy another permanent awning. All that stuff on the roof really kills fuel economy and I already am about maxed out anyway.

I put the 23zero 180R awning on the back of my camper. Very very happy with the quality and coverage it provides.

Its very easy to deploy and pack up solo. seems quite sturdy and I’m unlikely to connect the vertical support Legs unless in expecting wing.

Wow. I like the look of it. It appears it needs two poles across the top of the van so I would have to see about making that work with the solar panels but it should be doable. They don't give any indication of price at all, can you give me a ballpark?

Wrath, I do like the 23zero but it just seems so big.

@dangerbus 's looks like the bombdigity! Ditto above: What brand, etc., is it?!

I have a 11 YO 8' Fiamma F45 on my LC and its been just super; I'd buy it again if I had to but even after TONS of tree branch scrapes and UNTOLD high speed washboard miles (150k or so on it since the Fiamma went on), it just keeps on doing what it does best. Fast forward to last year when we bought an Escape trailer and I removed the POS awning it came with and after considering all the awnings on the market, including the host of 270s, I opted for another Fiamma (F45 roof mount 10' this time) and couldn't be happier.

I'm sure the fabric storage bags with zippers apart of the majority of today's awnings will last...but my experience with similar exposed to weather, UV, etc., has told me different. Fiamma gets my vote. And my money. But, again, the awning in dangerous' photo above looks very appealing!

I am leaning towards a Fiamma. Is yours mounted on a roof rack or the vehicle? I have a Transit medium roof, 130" wheelbase and would like to mount it to a rack.

LC: Mounted the awning on a Front Runner rack with brackets I fabbed. Escape trailer: Mounted the brackets directly to the fiberglass shell (top).

I have a OVS 180 (https://www.google.com/amp/s/overla...0-dark-gray-cover-with-black-cover-universal/) and I love it. Been using it for a week long trip only and it's my first awning, but it's super easy to setup, it's big when open and small when closed.

It's super sturdy and looks good too. The only thing I don't like so far is that the bag is a little tight.

I had trouble with shipping, but it appears that I was the first or one of the first Canadian to buy it so they haven't figured duties yet. It should be fine in the US.
