interesting, the seller is Adrian Frick, he has a few posts on Tacoma forums and a few other places selling a shower bolt on for a truck.. the Waterport as the logo on the yota proclaims...

Made in china imports from alibaba.com is my guess. You can search the website, there are bunches. There are minimum order quantities which keeps prices and shipping costs low... You're always taking a chance on no name Chinese stuff- might be good, might be crap, most likely will be somewhere in the middle. Also remember there is almost never any kind of warranty...

I saw the ad as well and chatted with the seller. Ended up deciding the minor amount of money I could save wasn't worth the risk. Getting a cvt next month.

I've had one for close to three years, mine is marked as a WilderNest & I picked it up in Boulder CO.
It's a little smaller then a Magnolia , the fiberglass and gel coat are pretty good, I added a 1 inch memory foam pad to make the mattress more comfortable.
I was told when I picked it up DO NOT loose the crank handle I did and had a hard time getting a replacement.
It mounts like most other RTT with a track under the base, the ladder is sturdy and collapses for storage.

I got a Blackfin on Ebay. Exactly the same but green fabric. Used it a few times and no real problems or complaints. Pops up super easy with gas pistons, a little tricky to close but that's mainly because it is high up on my truck. Ladder that comes with it is kinda chintzy. Has a 2" memory foam pad but I might replace that.

I have been looking for a RTT and would prefer to get a hardtop but they are expensive. I was searching Craigslist for a used one and ran across the attached add. It says they are the same a Autohome or James Baroud without the name stuck on it but I am a little dubious. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Seems legit

But honestly, all James Baroud tents are handbuilt in Portugal and AutoHome tents in Italy. Neither are massed produced in China where they would be "just sold without the name" and buyers should consider the fact it is a cheaply made knock off with in this case a Craigslist warranty. :)

Yeah, I have an Autohome and looked at the Barouds, both are quality and have support. Go with what's decent. Honestly the only difference in the two are where you are running. Barouds are better in the heat, Autohome in the cold. Chinese, who knows?

Well, I the Blacken RTT that I purchased has developed some small cracks in the roof. I believe that these happened during shipping as there was a small scratch in the roof when it arrived, which I wrote off. Now I noticed two 8" hairline cracks. I emailed the company so I guess we'll see how it gets resolved. Otherwise, the tent has been pretty good and had no leaks through said cracks.

RE heat: I get up early, and we usually camp at high altitude, but if that were not the case, I'd get a lighter colored tent with lighter fabric, and as much venting as possible. It gets a little warm up there if the sun is on it.
