Anyone use the TRD 1.5 bar radiator cap?

Has anyone used the 1.5 bar TRD rad cap on their Land Cruiser? I have the TRD 1.3, thinking about getting the 1.5, any reason the extra .2 bar might put undue stress somewhere else on the cooling system? All my hoses and cooling equipment are in good shape. Cheers,

The radiator cap is supposed to be the weak link in a well functioning coolant system. If you have severe pressure build up ,it will lift and release pressure . .2 bar is approx 15%. I cant see why you would want to do this.
If you want to keep your engine cooler in warm climates ,I would look at other ways

Higher pressure on liquid results in higher boiling temperatures. Hence why one can buy a TRD 1.3 bar cap versus the OEM 1.1. It raises the pressure on the system. Mostly for track days/racing cars, but I can see how in the desert that would help too. The 1.3 cap would (in theory) drop temp around 9 degrees. TRD lists the 80, 90 and 100 series as amongst models the cap will work with. So again just wondering if anyone uses the TRD 1.5 bar version and can report on it.
