Anyone using a Fiamma 45Ti awning?

Just looking for comments from users.

Easy enough for 1-person to deploy/collapse?

In calm or very light breeze can you get by without the vertical ground legs?

Any weak areas of design/construction to be concerned about?

Easy enough for 1-person to deploy/collapse? Very easy. I can't imagine it getting any easier.

In calm or very light breeze can you get by without the vertical ground legs? I really think it better to deploy the legs. I suppose you could fully deploy the awning without dropping the legs, but it would be flimsy and quite slanted.

Any weak areas of design/construction to be concerned about? A drop of Loctite on the bolt that holds the red plastic stop on the extension is advisable. Mine worked loose. Other than that, nothing of any concern. As far as awning go, I don't think they get any better or more user friendly than Fiamma.

CJCA,
Thanks for your input. I did have the shorter Fiamma 35 mounted on my AT Horizon. It was super (other than just being on the small side) and tough as nails. I still can't believe all the tree branches it deflected without any issues...not to mention surviving a roll-over unscathed :Wow1:.

However the 8'2" version of the 35 seems like it might be a handful/unwieldy for one person to set-up and pack back up. Whereas the cranking 45Ti seems like it would be more practical when another set of hands isn't available; I think you just confirmed that for me!
