Anyone using OME 864 springs?

I just added an ARB roof rack, and the added ~140 pounds has put the rear end down a bit. My suspension setup is:

OME 850s up front with Slee 25 mm trim packers and OME 863s in the rear.

Added weight:
On the front, I have an ARB Commercial bull bar, Warn 8274 with wire rope, and dual batteries.

In the rear, I have a drawer setup that is pretty full, Engel 45 liter fridge, Engel fridge slide tray, and an inverter.

With all this, the rig now sits level. If I load up, I think that I will be sagging a little in the rear. I am considering a few options.

A) Remove the front trim packer. This is free, and lowers the front almost an inch (25mm)

B) Install rear trim packers. $47.00 and gains me a little over an inch of additional rear height (30mm)

C) Install OME 864 rear springs. $175 and I'm not sure of the height gain or if I will also need L shocks for the rear.

The money is not an issue.

I am also planning a rear bumper with at least a swingout for a spare.

Cheers,
Dave

Dave, I think the 864's would work for your needs. I've got quite a few customers running them, Paul May in his 'heavy hundred', Dave Connors ran them in the back of his heavy 80, I've got a handful of other locals I can think of too. For heavy needs they do the trick. Do you know the weight of your tail end? I've got a 80 Series specific coil calculator that we can utilize to estimate what heights your truck will have with different OME products under real world loads. Gimme a ring if you have a weight or weight estimate of your rear end and I'd be glad to see where the 864's should have you. Furthermore if you have the weight and your wheel center to fender measurement I'd love to see how it does against my calculator. In the past we've been within 1/8" of real world setups

864's work perfect for us.

We ran 863's for a few years, then added an aux fuel tank, drawer system, fridge, dual spares and a trailer. It was time to kick it up a notch. The 864's have worked perfect for a couple years now and ride great fully loaded. We're a tad stink bug when unloaded, but fully loaded we sit perfectly level. We also run a 1" spring spacer both front and rear for a tad more height.

Our rig is about 7400 lbs. Majority being in the rear. We have no need for 868's - yet.

Kevin and Dave,

What are you (Dave) and your clients (Kevin) running up front? I see on mud a lot of guys are running 850Js up front and the 864 in the rear for a level ride height. I don't seem to think those guys are running heavy, I think they are running no or light loads and want the lift. Will I need to go with L shocks on the rear?
