Anyone using the IBS-DBS? I have a question.

For some reason when I connect my main 12v+ to 87 and my Aux 12v+ to 30 I get continuity between the terminals regardless of whether or not the coil is energized. If I disconnect the 12v+ aux from terminal 30 I no longer have continuity between 30 and 87 and the relay behaves normally.

My understanding is it should either be continuity or no continuity between 87 and 30 regardless of what they are connected to.

Thoughts?

Using a DMM. Yes both batteries are grounded.

I think you are correct about the DMM mistaking the two voltages as continuity. Came to the same conclusion thinking about it last night so I disconnected the 12v+ aux from the relay and checked again and it is indeed open. Then I moved the probe to the 12v+ terminal of the aux battery and got continuity.

I guess it would be better to check the resistance between the terminals instead. Thanks for the reply.
