Anywhere to find the going price of van conversion candidates?

Newb here. I'm thinking about doing my own buildout of a van. Likely to start using it for a while as a 2WD explorer.

I've been scouring my local CL, and I'm not really sure of pricing. How do I find out what the going prices is?

For example, a 2003 E-350 7.3L diesel van in good shape with 100,000 miles.

Or a 2002 gas E-150 already partially converted, with 120,000 miles.

Any idea how to determine what a fair price would be for these?

Links to the ads would be helpful.

To find out what the "experts" claim the vehicle is worth:

https://www.kbb.com/

Finding candidates:

the thread posted above
Craigslist
Ebay (filter to vehicles relatively local; also, through the Advanced Search you can see completed auctions to see how they ended)
Autotrader
any other local publications (grocery stores around us always have a free vehicles classifieds magazines; used to be called the Wheeler Dealer but not sure anymore)

One of my relatives had a rule about pricing out custom vehicles: find out what the owner paid in upgrades and modifications and offer him that; most of the time, its worth more than the stock vehicle and the owner just wants to get that back.
