~Overland Adventure Safari 2008~
We have spaces for four to six people (in two Toyota HiLux double-cab 4WD trucks, shown below at dawn in Amboseli National Park) available for our February 18-March 4, 2008 safari.
We are taking applications now through the end of August 26 for a select few adventurers to help us pioneer a new overland route from the Maasai Mara to Amboseli National Park through the borderlands of Kenya and Tanzania.
Entirely in Maasailand, accompanied by members of the Maasai conservation group, the South Rift Association, this will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for just a few people.
If you hate driving rugged trails in wild, beautiful landscapes, if you don't like seeing spectacular wildlife like elephants and lions and cheetahs or meeting legendary cultures like the Maasai - if you think adventure is a channel on cable, then PLEASE DON'T APPLY.
For more details and costs, please download our PDF flyer here, and an application form here.
Note that this is not first-come basis; rather, participants will be chosen based on overland skills, experience, and willingness to be a working member of an adventure team.
For more information contact Ed (Daktaried; shown in the photo at top on safari in 2005) or me by PM; you may also call me at 520 591 1410, in Arizona.
Ed, Jonathan Hanson (Overland Journal executive editor, shown driving the Land Cruiser above), and I (Roseann Hanson, pictured below with Jonathan, on safari with Maasai friend Hagai Kissila) will be leading this safari.
Don't miss out!
