Small circular hole in the side canvasp, about the circumference of a pen. Opinions on a repair? I can sew but don't know how to seal it. Or if I can just use one of those tent repair kits that look like they use some sort of silicon gel. Any tips? Thanks
I pulled the material off my base, patched it with the identical material and then put an ARB embroidered patch to make it look like it was supposed to there.
I have used Seam Sealer "seam-grip" and "sil-net" on my 4 season tents.. they work great...
for as mall whole like that I dont think a patch would be needed....
Sorry Andrewh, that is a good question that I dont have an answer for....
You could try it on a section of your tent that does not see much action and see if it works....
I have used it on tents (as stated) and on the actual cover for the tent... it held up for over two years with no issues...
You might try a heat patch used for patching the knees of jeans. Have someone hold something to inside and iron the patch on the outside, then switch, Afterwards use tent seam sealer around the edges.
the pics show that the stitches have been seam sealed... I dont see why it would not work for that little whole/tear you got there .....
