Arb rtt in cold weather??

Just purchased a lightly used arb rooftop tent, and we were wondering how they work in colder weather? Or snow? Temps don't get really cold where we plan on going, but snows often.

Cheers

They are OK as long as you have ample ventilation. When the humidity rises, they get very cold. Open the vents and maybe leave the windows a bit open too.

I Have used mine in winter in -20C weather and just love it. I also got snow on it. ILike said up here, I would try to keep a window zipper open a couple of inches, but in general, I feel like it was about 5 C warmer Inside than outside..

I did put a wool blanket on the matress. Brings up the cozy felling to it.

ARB Pilbara by the way.

That is a pretty fair price for one in good shape. If you get in really windy, but mostly dry conditions, taking off the fly makes the tent much quieter. IMO the biggest issue with those tents is the zipper on the cover. Spray it frequently with 303 Protectant Spray or McLube to keep it clean and running smooth. You might also source some spare knob screws as they do break.

Can't comment on the warranty. The knob screws should be inexpensive and may possibly be found locally. McLube can be found at any marine supply shop, probably the same for 303.
