Are Maxtrax MKII the best ? Get orange?

Are Maxtrax MKII the best of that sort of thing?
Is Orange the best color? For general “not leave one behind at night” etc.

For sand and snow.

And.... I see them for $299, shipped, various places in the USA. Any better deals to be had from a legit seller?

Maxtrax have been the best in my experience. I went with orange so they’re easier to find in mud, snow, etc. Wait until Ebay does another 15-20% off day and buy from there.

I finally bought some last year. Have already used them a few times, and they have done the job. Haven't tried the cheaper versions, so I can't compare. When I finally broke down and went with the Maxtrax, I had visualized the scenario where one fails and it seemed worth it. Orange is also easier to find in the bed of your truck.

I dont know that color matters. Use a long colorful leash so you can find them buried in mud, snow, or sand.
