I am wanting to know if AT has any plans to make a single entry door system for the flip-pack? With kids it would help to keep out the bugs and what not. I am working threw the process on how to set one up to sleep 6. 4 kids from 2 to 10 and 2 adults. I am all so looking at used Alaskans and FWC cost is a big factor. I plan on mounting it on a F350 crew cab long bed single axel.

At this time we do not. Producing a single door would mean that the shell would then become vehicle specific. The door would need a frame to sit in and the frame would have to conform with the bed of the vehicle. That would mean that the door would have to be variable in width and height.

Once you make shells vehicle specific the production costs become much higher due to the multiple molds and the limited sales from each mold.

What may be more effective is to create an interior soft screen to keep the bugs out.

As a side note, we don't always catch posts that require a direct answer from AT, to insure a response either PM me or send me an e mail.

Thanks for the response. That makes very good sense. I still love your cover and will consider going the create a door my self like Bellas rear door. All so has any one spent a prolong period in heavy rain with the rain fly attached and if so did it perform well.

Heavy rain, one time. The rain fly worked perfectly. No leaks at all. Winds picked up too. It was summer and started to get hot inside after a while, like any tent.

I glad to here that the rain fly worked well. I have used a small fan to help with the heat, and humidity issue before. i am sure it would work well for the Flip-pack to. Would all so try to get a second bunk bed to increase sleeping space and with the 5 girls a good porta potty to boot. Thanks for the response.
