I must say the exterior styling is strange, but the size and specs look pretty darn good.

Nice payload, stout ladder frame, many cab and bed options including a tray, 2.2 and 3.2 liter turbo diesel engines, six speed manual or auto, factory bull bar (tested on a 'roo dummy at 60 mph), 31 inch fording depth.

Very true! Just think how many many here in the states would take ANY body style compact or mid-size pickup with 4WD, diesel and those capabilities. They could make it as ugly as they want! The Aussies (and most of the world) are so lucky.
