im having some issues with my auto trans in my 91 trooper and having trouble finding one but i have found a whole trooper with a manual with the same v6 if i bought the other trooper and swapped out the trans how much trouble will it be has anyone done it. will it be as easy as just replacing my auto trans? will a new clutch pedal and slave bolt it or will there be some fabrication involved?

I'm not a trooper owner but for my 2cents... that would be the best way to do the swap since you will have all the parts needed in the donor vehicle.

This is how I plan to put 318 in my jeep TJ, find a donor Durango and use the engine, computer, tranny(want an auto), t-case and most important - a complete wiring harness that hasn't been butchered by th salvage company (they are notorious for cutting the harness at the firewall) - I would have all the parts needed.

Edit: Should be as easy as transferring the parts...

At the risk of giving you meaningless information, I once switched an engine from a vehicle with an automatic tranny to a vehicle with a standard. I had to switch out the flywheel and add a pilot shaft bearing. Other than that it was nice clean swap.
